Students will have the chance to learn about the industry firsthand and have high accountability as they will be given high priority, real world tasks throughout the internship. Human Resources

 
Our Human Resources Manager will:
 

  • Develop and implement a best practice company policy and procedures across a range of HR matters, ensuring employee and company adherence
  • Develop and implement a strategy to hire people over the distance in order to ensure a quick grow our remote team
  • Oversee all HR initiatives, systems, and tactics
  • Manage both online and offline employee record keeping and agreements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employment relations, supporting employees in various HR related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Deal with grievances and violations invoking disciplinary action when required
  • Oversee delivery of on-boarding and off-boarding processes ensuring a consistently high standard of delivery
  • Oversee the execution of Wisdom performance management process, tracking completion rates and guiding Managers on effective goal setting and delivery
  • Oversee talent acquisition and recruitment processes
  • Work closely with our Senior Management team to provide training & development initiatives to our employee base
  • Report to and advise the CEO by analyzing data and using HR metrics
  • Manage internal communication projects and Employee Surveys

 
Experience:
 

  • Minimum 2 years of HR experience in conference production industry (in multiple HR functions including but not limited to employee relations, talent development, talent review, and succession planning, employee engagement, performance management, and talent acquisition)
  • Proven expertise in developing partnerships with leadership and influencing key business decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to manage human resources at both the strategic and tactical levels.

 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities in the conference production industry:
 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR principles
  • Organized and process-driven, with an eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices

Our Sponsorship Sales team identifies, matches and sells sponsorship and exhibition packages to companies on the supply side of each event.
 
Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Wisdom products, the industry, and our competitors
  • Attend on-line briefing meetings with producers on intellectual content and unique selling points of conferences
  • Identify the target market for solution provider sponsorship opportunities
  • Market research and lead sourcing of potential sales prospects
  • Developing a continuous pipeline of sales leads
  • Pitching and tailoring sponsorship opportunities to clients over the telephone and face-to-face (predominantly phone based)
  • Working towards monthly sales performance targets
  • Developing long term business relationships with clients to ensure repeat business
  • Onsite management of sponsors attending conferences
  • Keeping your work up to date in the corporate CRM system

Delegate Sales Executive

Delegate Sales Executives are responsible for selling delegate passes on Wisdom conferences to senior-level executives of public and private sector companies. As a Delegate Sales Executive, you will need to have the ability to research the relevant and qualified professionals for each conference, call them and sell them a pass to each event using the specific Wisdom sales process. You are also required to consider and accommodate your client’s needs and interests while possessing the skill to close business time after time. A top candidate for this position will have the aptitude to make adjustments and constantly learn and apply new sales strategies exemplifying versatility and improving ability.

This role offers an experienced and exceptional conference producer the opportunity to contribute to a growing portfolio of the most current and modern maritime & energy events sectors.
 
Reporting to the Head of Production and in conjunction with Advisory boards, the role of the Conference Producer is to research subject matter and find the most qualified speakers to create and execute high-quality business conferences and summits.
 
Responsibilities:
 

  • Research and analyze trends and topics that will contribute to the learning experience and professional advancement of our audiences
  • Research, source and secure Key Opinion Leaders to participate in the conference programs as speakers
  • Write compelling session descriptions
  • Invite and confirm speakers, through phone calls and email
  • Manage session documentation, including speaker contracts, session plans, disclosures and presentations, relevant paperwork and more
  • Develop and manage logistics plans

We are the storytellers that bring our brand to life and promote the Wisdom brand and events, creating demand that generates revenue for the company.&
 
The Marketing Manager will Support the Team by:
 
Building and implementing marketing plans around each individual event that focuses on driving conference attendance through email marketing, social, pay per click campaigns, print ads, web and newsletter banners, postcards, flyers, telesales campaigns, video and industry partnerships.&

 
Education/Experience requirements:
 
The ideal candidate for this position will be a well-rounded marketer who is not only able to participate in a marketing strategy and development but who also has the skills and determination to implement the details of these initiatives. We are looking for a highly organized self-starter with creative problem-solving skills, a strategic mind, strong attention to detail, and an innate ability to execute.&
 
Selection criteria for a candidate include:
 

  • 1-3 years of proven experience marketing both traditional and social media marketing ideally gained within conferences or exhibitions.
  • You’re a proficient online marketer. You know how to drive traffic to a site through channels such as search, social media, email, and partnerships.
  • You’re comfortable using Google Analytics and can implement SEO best practices
  • Intermediate experience of using PPC tools like Google Adwords and LinkedIn advertising
  • Proven ability in the creation and execution of quality email and online campaigns
